A New Chapter for The Apple Pressing Service
ApplePressing.co.uk has always been about helping people make the most of the fruit growing in their gardens, orchards and communities. For more than 15 years, the business was lovingly run by Ollie, Clair and their family, helping thousands of people transform surplus apples into delicious fresh juice rather than seeing them go to waste.
Over the years, the business became something of a family tradition. As Ollie and Clair moved home around Wiltshire, the apple pressing service moved with them, growing steadily through word of mouth, returning customers and a shared passion for making the most of the autumn harvest.
In 2025, however, their family embarked on a new adventure, moving to Cornwall to pursue a long-held dream. Not wanting to see the apple pressing service disappear, they spent a season running the business remotely while searching for the right people and the right location to continue its story.
That’s where Jim and Harriet come in.

From Customers to Custodians
For many years, Jim and Harriet were customers themselves, bringing their own apples to be pressed and enjoying the experience that so many families have come to love.
As parents of three children, they share the same values that have always been at the heart of ApplePressing.co.uk: family, sustainability, community and reducing food waste. Every autumn they watched apples fall from trees across the countryside and felt there had to be a better use for them than ending up on the ground or in the compost heap.
When Ollie called Jim to ask whether he might be interested in taking over the business, the timing felt right. What started as a simple conversation soon grew into an exciting opportunity to continue a service they had admired for years.
Keeping the Tradition Alive
Today, Jim and Harriet are proud to carry forward everything that made ApplePressing.co.uk special.
While the faces behind the press may have changed, the ethos remains exactly the same. The aim is still to provide a friendly, family-run service that helps people turn their home-grown apples into high-quality juice while reducing waste and celebrating the abundance of Britain’s fruit trees.
Whether you’re bringing a few bags of apples from your garden or harvesting fruit from a larger orchard, you’ll receive the same warm welcome that customers have enjoyed for more than a decade.
Looking Ahead
We’re incredibly grateful to Ollie, Clair and their family for the years of hard work they invested in building ApplePressing.co.uk into the trusted service it is today.
As the next chapter begins, we’re excited to welcome both returning customers and first-time visitors. We look forward to helping many more families discover the satisfaction of turning their own apples into something truly special.
We hope to see you this season.
Jim, Harriet and Family
